Maryann Elder (Ella) has been acting and directing in the Philadelphia area since 1979, and has been seen onstage at The Wilma Theater, Society Hill Playhouse, Philadelphia Repertory Company, and Hedgerow Theater, among others. She also serves as a member of the Theater Committee at Allens Lane Theater, where she directed Prelude To A Kiss, Lusting After Pipino's Wife, A Perfect Ganesh, and Greater Tuna. Roles there include Eleanor in Reverse Psychology, Annie in The Real Thing, and Sarah/Diane in The Actor's Nighmare/Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You. Maryann has also delighted in directing students at Radnor High School for the past eight seasons in their annual musical theater productions (yes, Sound of Music, The King and I and many more). She lives near Valley Forge with her husband and 5 yr. old daughter Hannah, who begs to hear stories from Shakespeare at bedtime.
Steve Hatzai (Weston) Steve has been involved in theatre as an actor, director, technician and educator for over forty years. He has appeared onstage at the Folger Theatre in Washington, the 45th St. Theatre in Manhattan, at InterAct, Society Hill Playhouse, the Brick Playhouse and Villanova Theatre in Philadelphia and at Touchstone Theatre, Muhlenberg Summer Theatre, Civic Theatre, Theatre Outlet, the Pennsylvania Stage Company and the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival in the Lehigh Valley. Steve's most recent performances include Major Metcalf in The Mousetrap at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, the Pope in Men of Stone at the Adrienne, Rory in Lafferty's Wake at the Society Hill Playhouseand as the father The Fantasticks at Hedgerow Theatre.
Amanda Schoonover (Emma): Amanda recently appeared as Flora in the critically acclaimed The Loyalist written and directed by Lou Lippa for The Fictitious Theatre Company and as Echo in Polaroid Stories for Azuka Theatre Collective. Last year she appeared as Charlotte Goodall in Iron Age's production of Night of the Iguana. Other credits include work with InterAct, Theatrix, Hedgerow, City Theater Company, The Arden and Pig Iron.Amanda holds a BA from the university of the Arts where she was lucky enought to have worked with Irene Baird, Paul Berman and David Rabe.
Christian Lisak (Wesley) Christian (MFA-Acting 1997) is a performance artist, teacher and the self-proclaimed 'prince of understudies' at the Philadelphia Theatre Company (you did not see him in This is Our Youth nor The Laramie Project, to name a few). Other Philadelphia credits include work with the Vagabond Acting Troupe (Slapped!) and the Hoopskirt Theatre Company (Lacuna). He is in two films (A.K.A. and Bottom Feeders) that are now being screened at various film festivals. Christian is also the Producing Artistic director of Gravy Theatre, which produces original physical theatre Events, and a Reiki practitioner.
Ray Saraceni (Taylor) is a frequent performer with Iron Age Theatre where he has been seen as Lou in The Speed of Darkness and Vinnie in Simpatico. Most recently he appeared as the Ghost/Player King in Philadelphia Shakespeare’s Festival production of Hamlet and in King Lear. Ray won critical acclaim with his performance as Roy Cohn in Angels in America. Ray has a Master’s Degree from Villanova University and teaches theater history at Lehigh University.
Jeff Jerome (Ellis) is also a frequent perfomer with Iron Age Theatre appearing in Tunnel, Requiem for a Heavyweight & Heaven Can Wait. Most recently seen in The Burger Girl Jingle for Theatrix at the Adrienne. Other stage credits include, Philadelphia: Rats, Brilliant Traces, Burn This. New York: Murder In America. Los Angeles: Family Business, The Big Ballgame, Bleacher Bums.
R J Kimlin (Emerson):This is R J’s first production with Iron Age Theatre. He has performed with the Parkdale players in San Diego, CA in Animal Tales and in Don’t Call Me Percy, based on the Medusa myth. He is a student of Sidney Kay. R J wishes to thank his kids and friends for their encouragement and inspiration.
