Adam Altman (Fabian, Dr. Mindbender, Sgt. Slaughter, Tybalt, Flint) This is Adam's 10th production with Iron Age, having performed as Sgt. Al in BIRDY, Thomas Paine in the world premiere one-man show CITIZEN PAINE, Dr. Lanyon/Inspector/Student/Hyde in DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, Hamlet/Benvolio in SHAKESPLOITATION!, Father Welsh in THE LONESOME WEST, Estragon in WAITING FOR GODOT, Jack McCall in FATHERS AND SONS, Cripple Billy in THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN and Mairtin Hanlon in A SKULL IN CONNEMARA. Adam holds a B.A. in Theatre Performance from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA and has also studied acting at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. In 2004 Adam received the Peggy Ezekiel Award of Distinction in Undergraduate Student Lighting Design from the USITT for his work on Seton Hill's production of PROOF. Other recent onstage credits: TWELFTH NIGHT, ROMEO & JULIET, RICHARD III (Delaware Shakespeare Festival); THE SEAFARER (Arden Theatre); THE FULL MONTY (Montgomery Theater); PURLIE (Ritz Theatre). Rachel Semigran (Juliet, Olivia, Barroness) Rachel Semigran is a current senior at Drexel University.Recent credits include : BLUEBIRD with EgoPo Productions, PROM with New Paradise Laboratories where she played an English teacher (no surprise there), LOVE'S LABORS LOST with Commonwealth Classic Theatre Company, SHAKESPLOITATION with Iron Age (okay, it was ONE scene) and upcoming THE LONG CHRISTMAS RIDE HOME with Azuka Theatre. At Drexel she's been seen in RED HERRING, LEND ME A TENOR, THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, THE LARAMIE PROJECT, and THE SON OF ARLECCHINO. She's also a member of the improv group The Drexel Football Team.She’s often cast as a wench, madame, or any other sort of woman with loose morals. Suffice it to say, her parents are very proud of her accomplishments as a performer.
Krissy Johnson (Scarlet, Nurse, Maria, Zamot, Dancer) Krissy Johnson received a Bachelor of Music from Trinity University in San Antonio followed by a Master of Music in vocal performance from the University of Houston. She then moved to New York City, where she pursued a career as a professional singer and actress. Off Broadway credits include MURDERED BY THE MOB, FORGOTTEN BROADWAY, and THE WWOW RADIO MYSTERY HOUR. Regional Credits include HOUDINI at the Goodspeed Opera House, ZORRO, DAVID DANCES, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Burt Reynolds Theatre in West Palm Beach, Fl. A resident of the Philadelphia area for the past several years, she has performed with the Philadelphia Children’s Theatre in ALEXANDER, AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY; with the Centre Theater in MAN OF LA MANCHA, BIG RIVER, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, and FOOTLOOSE; with Iron Age Theatre in SHAKESPLOITATION; with Green Light Theatrical Production in LAST RITES; with Strawflower Productions in THE DOMESTICATION OF WOMEN; and with Bucks County Playhouse in THE SOUND OF MUSIC, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL and FUNNY GIRL. In addition to musical theatre, she has performed with various vocal groups, including the Philadelphia Singers, Cantores, and as a guest soloist with The Masterworks Chorale.
Chris Graziano (Andrew, Midget, Tomax, Guard II): Chris is no stranger to the theater. Recent on-stage performances include HALF THE RENT IN AMERICA, and the Center Theatre's MAN OF LAMANCHA. Other credits include pit-orchestra work for various companies in the Philadelphia area. Some shows include THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS; HONK!; The '03 Philadelphia Fringe Festival's highly acclaimed MAD COW MUSICAL; LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and a very special production of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR. This is Chris' first production with Iron Age.
Dorien Belle(Delivery Guy I, Belch, Destro) last appeared as Renaldi in BIRDY and as the "spoooooky" Ghost of King Hamlet & Phat Ho in Iron Age's production of SHAKESPLOITATION. Prior to that he played Chris in the Philadelphia premiere of HAVE A NICE LIFE with the Nice People Theater Co. Regional theater credits includes: CATS & FINIAN'S RAINBOW at the Walnut Street Theater & KISS OF THE SPIDERWOMAN with the Ritz Theater Co. Previous shows includes: RAGTIME as Coalhouse, BEAUTY & THE BEAST as the Beast, MAN OF LA MANCHA as Padre, TWELFTH NIGHT as Sir Toby, LUCKY STIFF" as Vinnie, and THE CRUCIBLE as Giles Corey. He holds a B.A. in Musical Theater from Seton Hill University.
David Yashin (Co-Producer, Romeo, Zartan, Malvolio, Paul): David is a proud member of Actor’s Equity and is thrilled to be working with Iron Age once again. David enjoyed being a victim of a drive by shooting and mauled by zombies during Iron Age's 2005 Fringe piece, SHAKESPLOITATION, he loved being assaulted and pummeled with eggs as Bartley in THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN and was honored to be bound and enslaved as Lucky in their production of WAITING FOR GODOT. David studied fine arts at Rider University where he performed on their main stage, the Yvonne Theatre, multiple times. While there he also wrote and directed an original musical revue, designed and built acclaimed scenery for the show THE WILD PARTY and was even commissioned to create some of the theatre’s poster and display case artwork. Roles portrayed at the Yvonne include Martini in ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO's NEST, Ira Stone in LAUGHTER ON THE 23rd FLOOR, Trent in SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION, Woof in HAIR and Oscar Wilde in GROSS INDECENCY: THE THREE TRIALS OF OSCAR WILDE. Other past credits include Nephew Fred in A CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Walnut Street Theatre, Dickon in THE SECRET GARDEN at the Growing Stage's Palace Theatre and Ryan in HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL at the Centre Theater. Most recently David was featured as a Waterbender in the Paramount Pictures feature film THE LAST AIRBENDER debuting July 2010. He wants to send thanks and love to his Iron Age family, his actual family, his friends, his motherfuckin gun and most of all to his parents without whom he wouldn’t be here today.
Frances Calter (Viola, Storm Shadow, Homeboy, Sally) Franny is happy to be working with The Centre Theatre again. Since her graduation from Styracuse University, Frances has worked professionally both onstage and off in NYC, Boston, Philadelphia, and her personal favorite, Grand Forks, North Dakota. When not onstage, she can be found teaching the Young Actors Workshop at the Montgomery Theater. She would like to thank her cousins for the support and the website.
Matthew J. McDonough (Serpentor, Sebastian, Mercutio, Duke) Matt is very excited to be returning to his dis-funk-tional family at Iron Age Theatre (I.A.T.) for another round of theatrical magic and mayhem. A native of Northwestern Pennsylvania, Matt obtained his B.A. in Performance Theatre/Directing from Seton Hill University in Greensburg, PA. He was last seen on the stage as The Visitor in Victor Bumbalo’s TELL (Quince Productions), and was also seen as Dr. Jekyll in the Philadelphia Premier of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE with I.A.T. at the Centre Theater. His other I.A.T. credits include Carl Mann in FATHERS AND SONS and as Babbybobby in CRIPPLE OF INISHMANN ( Iron Age Theatre 2006 - 07 Season). Some of Matt's other regional theater credits include: Benedict in MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, Laertes in HAMLET, Robert in PROOF, and Biff in DEATH OF A SALEMAN.
Markus L. Zanders (Cobra Commander, Antonio) Markus is a vertran of Iron Age Theatre performing as Oats in the Barrymore Nominated TERRA NOVA and as Carlson in OF MICE AND MEN. Although he hails from the Philly area and is a graduate of Temple University, Markus has tramped across the states performing at the Blue Ridoe Theater Festival in the Complete History of America…. Abridged and with JMTWSRKS Theater Company in Pittsburgh performing IT's A WONDERFUL LIFE and LITTLE ROCK. He's also toiled as a Mad Scientist in San Diego California and can be seen in television ads across the country as "The Goodwill Guy." for Goodwill Industries. He was part of the world premiere production of I'll Be Seeing You at the Kimmel Center. He is an aspiring teacher and has been Improvisation Instructor with the Kids: Heart of the Arts program at the Montgomery County Cultural Center.
Todd Rodenhiser(Orsino, Guard II, Delivery Man II) Todd Rodenhiser is thrilled to be working with Iron Age. He has worked with Azuka Theater, The Walnut St Theater as well as been a company member of the improvisational group Comedysportz for the past seven years.
